Online training for Volunteer Chaplaincy

EVERYONE IS WELCOMED TO PARTNER with CPM in offering hope to the 7.4 million adults behind bars, on probation, or on parole, plus the growing number of youth offenders in North America, and their families.

However, for those seeking Advanced Para Professional Certification with CPM, a higher level of commitment and qualification is necessary. In an effort to provide correctional facilities with well-trained volunteers and chaplains of the highest professional quality, CPM believes it is vital for individuals to be faithful and active in a local church, and offers certification only to individuals approved for certification by their Pastor.

In order to maintain continuity of ministry and the highest volunteer and ministerial ethics, CPM currently offers certification only as outlined in the guidelines listed for each level of CPM certification and as outlined herein.

Volunteer Chaplaincy

To obtain or renew a Christian Prisoner Ministry (CPM) Volunteer Chaplain License:

1. One must be affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International in some way. Attend a UPCI church with a licensed UPCI pastor that would recommend and sign the application. If not attending a UPCI church, have knowledge of a UPCI pastor that would sign the application and you be accountable to.

2. Complete the 4 hours of required training for Volunteer Chaplaincy either online at https://ministrycentral.com/courses/volunteer-chaplain-training-series or at a District, Regional or National CPM Conference. The registration fee is $50

3. Return completed application, test, current picture and certification fee to:

For a one-year license, please remit $35 with this application. You may purchase a two-year license for $55. This non-refundable fee for your License Fee needs to be made payable to: Christian Prisoner Minstry.

Advanced Para Professional Chaplaincy

To obtain Christian Prisoner Ministry (CPM) Advanced Para Professional Chaplain License:

2. Complete the Volunteer Chaplaincy Certification. And then complete the training for Para Professional Chaplaincy  either online at https://ministrycentral.com/courses/para-professional-chaplaincy-certification or at the National CPM Conference. The registration fee is $150

3. Return the application, test, essay questions, a current picture, and the certification fee to:

For a one-year license, please remit $39 with this application. You may purchase a two-year license for $69. This non-refundable fee for your License Fee needs to be made payable to: Christian Prisoner Ministry.
